Willard C. Partridge, 85, of 112 W. 12th St., died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Erven Avenue Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald Evans will officiate. Music will be provided by saxophonist Kyle Nettleingham and pianist Rob Tyne.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Kerestes, Rob Yurko, Rob Rowland, Richard Hartshorn, Peter Langas and Rich Vaiciulis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim and Vickie Cantrell, Lisa Flatt, Cindy Parcher, Tanya Evans Schmidt and members of St. Mary's Hospital's sixth floor nursing staff.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Solon & Baker Funeral Home. Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Born Nov. 30, 1916, in Streator, he was the son of Harold and Elizabeth (Hoag) Partridge. He married Grace M. Weeks on Jan. 21, 1949. She died Aug. 7, 1990.
He is survived by sons, Bill Kretchmer of Cleveland, Wis., and Robert Partridge of Katy, Texas; a daughter, Peggy (Mrs. Larry) Goldsmith of Streator; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, June Rowe; a grandson; and a brother, Harold.
He graduated from Streator High School in 1934.
He retired from Owens-Illinois Glass in 1969.
He was a member of the Musicians Union, where he played with the Starlighters and several other bands. He was also a member of Erven Avenue Baptist Church.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice or to his church.
