W. Dale Broadway, 51, of Streator, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Red Bud Hospital, Red Bud, as the result of injures sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church, Metropolis, the Revs. Terry Cathey and Don Evans officiating.
Burial will be in Metropolis Memorial Gardens, Metropolis.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home, Metropolis, and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church.
Born March 3, 1951, in Harrisburg, he was the son of Glen and Mary (Burklow) Broadway. He married Jan Ferguson, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Julie Broadway of Streator; sons, Ross Broadway of Streator and Derek Broadway of Quincy; sisters, Pat (Mrs. Harold) Thomas of Hillsboro and Bonita House of Irving, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His parents preceded him in death.
He was executive director of Business Employment Skills Team, Inc. He was named 1990 Professional of the Year by the Illinois Employment & Training Association. He was a member and deacon at Erven Avenue Baptist Church, member and past president of Illinois Workforce Partnership, member of National Association of Counties, National Association of Workforce Boards, Illinois Valley Personnel Association, Illinois Adult & Continuing Education Association, International Association of Personnel in Employment Security, Lazy Acres Fishing Club, Streator YMCA, North Central Illinois Works, and North Central Illinois Works Youth Council.
