| Birth: | unknown | | Death: | Mar. 9, 1889 |  Civil War Union Soldier. He was mustered in as a Private in Company C, 3rd New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on May 21, 1864. He would go on to serve a full three years with the regiment, participaing in Battles such as Gaines Mill, Second Bull Run, South Mountain, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, The Wilderness and Spotsylvania. When his enlisted expired, he was honorably mustered out on June 23, 1864. A few months later he re-enlisted in the Union war effort, being mustered in as a recruit Private in Company K, 34th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on September 7, 1864. He joined with the regiment in the field, was transferred from Company K to Company C, and participated in the unit's garrison and anti-guerrilla activities in Tennessee and Kentucky.
