Mrs. Minnie Collmann, a resident of the Manson community since 1895, died at her home here Wednesday evening, April 5, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 8 days. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the home and St. Paul's American Lutheran Church with the Rev. W. E. F. Meier officiating.
During the service the choir sang "Abide With Me," Blest is He Who Cries to Heaven," and "My Jesus As Thou Wilt." Pallbearers were Henry Lenz, Emory Bleam, Clarence Oberhelman, Jake Wiese, John Wiese, and Eilert Memken. The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Clarence Oberhelman, Mrs. E. H. Memken, Mrs. Edw. Mueller, and Mrs. W. E. F. Meier.

Mrs. Mina Jacobina Collmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heike Tjaden, was born in Woodford County, Illinois, on October 28, 1867. She spent her girlhood days near Benson, Ill., where she was confirmed in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church on March 18, 1883. On April 18, 1884, she was united in marriage to Henry J. Collmann. To this union 16 children were born, four of whom preceded their mother in death.
In 1895 the family moved to Iowa and located on a farm four miles east of Manson which remained her home until the time of her death. Following the death of her husband on November 21, 1926, Mrs. Collmann managed the farm until the last few years when she had to relinquish this to her twin sons Walter and William.
Mrs. Collmann leaves to mourn 4 sons, Lawrence, Walter and William, of Manson, and Carl, of Fergus Falls, Minn.; eight daughters; Mrs. Tresia Reiter, of Palmer; Mrs. Elcena Van Hoff, of Pomeroy; Mrs. Emma Steckelberg, of Ogilie, Minn.; Mrs. Marie Kenning, of Manson; Mrs. Jennie Warnke and Emilie Folkerts, of Palmer; Mrs. Minnie Hoeppner, of Manson and Mrs. Helena Hunt, of Cincinnati, Iowa. She is survived by 58 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. One brother Robert Tjaden, of Rockwell City, and one sister, Mrs. Martha Buettermeier, of Benson, Ill. also survive.
