Wilard's baptismal certificate lists name as George Conoryea; named after his God-father. He worked at Federal Land Bank as an auditor/accountant then in 1941 joined the Pullman Co. as a Pullman conductor and later station agent at the St. Paul Union Depot. Later he returned to work as a Pullman conductor until retirement. Between his runs he also worked part-time at Montgomery Wards in the hardware dept. After his retirement he drove a school bus for a few years.
Wilard "Bud" Conoryea of St. Paul, passed away on July 19, 1994. Wilard was the loving husband of Virginia; father of Gary & wife Joyce of Denver, Colorado and Dennis & wife Jean of West St Paul, Minnesota. He was the grandfather of Scott, Dan, Kevin & Chad Conoryea, Patti Feero, Jackie Furlong, & Steve Conor of Phoenix, Arizona. Also surviving are 3 great-granddaughters; & one brother Earl, (Bro. Bede OFM). Mass of Christian burial, 11:00 am at Church of St Matthew, St. Paul. Visitation, Thursday 5-9 pm with a parish vigil at 7 pm. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
