St. Clair County
Al was a White peacock, not an albino, as many people mistake the white peacocks for. Their eyes aren't pink.
We got Al and a female we named Angel, from a breeder in OK. They came from a ranch where the dirt was so red, it took a couple days for the dust to come out of their feathers & off their feet.
Al was the neatest pet. He had a very outgoing personality & loved being the center of attention.
He always knew when it was time for me to come home from work. He used to fan out for me & call to me. He also used to knock on our doorwall when he wanted a treat (bread) & would eat from my hand.
I also found out that he would go across the road & visit my the neighbors. I guess a few times he snuck in behind one of them in one of the greenhouses. Of course, he then let out his loud call, scaring whoever it was.
I really miss Al.
Raising peacocks was very enjoyable.
