Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Betty Alice Johnson Farnworth, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, in Boise.
A native of Idaho, Betty was born April 20, 1927 at Preston, Idaho, the daughter of Louis and Dorothy Johnson. After graduation from Preston High School, Betty moved with her family to a farm in Meridian. There she met her future sweetheart, Dwight Percy Farnworth. Dwight and Betty were married in the Logan, Utah, LDS temple on Feb. 8 1949.
Betty was a very talented individual. She played and taught lessons on the organ and piano. Betty was an excellent seamstress specializing in crochet, knitting, and other fine needlework. She was and excellent cook and her family cherished teh times together around the dinner table. Betty had a love for bookkeeping and accounting. She worked part-time at Dunkley's Wood Furniture with her daughters and loved teh challenge the the furniture business gave her. Betty's greatest talent in life was her unfeigned kindness to those around her. Her spirit radiated a positive feeling and influence to all.
Betty was very active in the LDS church. She served in numerous callings. After retirement, Betty and Dwight served a mission together in New York City. This was one of the highlights of their life. They also worked locally in the Boise Temple.
