Virginia H. Arthur (Fishburn) passed away February 17, 2010, at Parker Adventist Hospital in Aurora, following a brief illness. She was 92.She was born June 22, 1917, in Denver, Colo. to Howard Fishburn and Agnes (Green) Fishburn. She grew up in Denver, graduated from Denver South High School, where she met her future husband.

She married Jack W. Arthur on October 3, 1936, in Denver. The couple made their home in Denver, welcoming a son John William, in 1941. John was joined by a brother, Raymond Harold in 1943 and a second brother, Richard Charles in 1945. The trio was otherwise known as her three musketeers.

She was active in her sons schooling, serving as president of the Denver County Council PTA in 1958. Mrs. Arthur worked as a television producer for KRMA Channel 6 in the 1960s, and was a writerproducer for several programs including the station's annual auction/telethon. She enjoyed sewing, golf, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She traveled to a number of countries in her later years.

Mrs. Arthur was known for her delicious cooking, her fierce independence and her proud, gentle and loving spirit. She was a woman of varied talents, ranging from painting to poetry. She loved sports, especially baseball and hockey and was an animal lover. Anyone who ever knew her was taken with her infectious sense of humor and her vibrant personality. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jack in 1988.

Mrs. Arthur is survived by her sons; John and his wife Bettina of Aurora, Raymond and his wife Judy of Nunn, Richard and his wife Mollie of Littleton; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Limon F. Green III of Colorado Springs. She is further survived by her many friends at Cherry Creek Retirement Village, who brought her joy, laughter and love in her daily life. At her behest, no memorial services are planned.
