Martha B Ross (1793 - 1818)*
In memory of Isaac Ross who was born ? 1796 and died November 5th, 1852. He was beloved, honored and esteemed in all his social and domestic relations. He lived the life of the righteous and was faithful until his death awaiting with Christian hope the crown of life. This monument was erected by a fond wife to soothe her bleeding heart for the loss of an endeared husband. The earth was fallen cold and deep above his narrow bier. No wintery wind can break his sleep. No thunder reach his ear. Tho' deep the slumber of the tomb, tho' dark that bed of day, yet shall he wake and leave that gloom forever lasting day. I sorrow not, as those who have no hope.

Note: Information was taken from the top of the stone using aluminum foil pressed very lightly with a soft cloth into the indentations.
