Mrs. Zelphia Hopson
Mrs. Zelphia Louise Moncier Hopson, 48, of 211 Nelson Street, died Monday at 3:20 p.m. in Takoma Adventist Hospital.
She was a housewife.
Survivors include one son: Ronald Shelton of Greeneville; one daughter: Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Dunbar of Greeneville; four grandchildren: Crystal and Missy Shelton, Sherri and Tracy Dunbar; one half-sister Mrs. Mary Ward of Greeneville; one half-brother Ervin Lingo of Virginia Beach, Va.; and several nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clayton Hopson.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gethsemane United Methodist Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Jessie Laws and the Rev. S. M. Shaw will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be James Ward, Joe Ward, Junior Ward, Gene Rector, Johnnie Story and Elvis Kelley.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening and Wednesday evening at Kiser Funeral Home.
