Professional Hockey Player. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Adam played the position of Left wing for teams in the PCHL, NHL, WHL, EHL, AHL, OHA-Jr, TNDHL, OHA-Sr, TIHL, TMHL, and the IHL hockey leagues. At 5'11, and 165lbs, Adam played for the Toronto Marlboros from 1941 to 1942, Toronto HMCS York from 1941 to 1942, Toronto Bowsers from 1944 to 1945, Toronto Shamrocks from 1944 to 1945, Toronto Uptown Tires from 1944 to 1945, Toronto People's Credit from 1944 to 1945, 1946 to 1947, Toronto Dorsts from 1945 to 1946, Hollywood Wolves from 1945 to 1946, Tacoma Rockets from 1947 to 1953, New York Rangers from 1949 to 1950, Seattle-Saskatoon-Vancouver from 1953 to 1954, Vancouver Canucks from 1953 to 1954, Vancouver N.W. from 1954 to 1956, New Westminister Royals from 1954 to 1956, Charlotte Clippers from 1956 to 1958, Louisville Rebels from 1959 to 1960, Philadelphia Ramblers from 1958 to 1961 as player and head coach, and the Rochester Americans as head coach. Adam originally retired from playing hockey in 1957 but came back to play the game as well as be the Philadelphia Ramblers General Manager from 1963 to 1964, and later became a scout. Adam was a member of the PCHL Northern First All-Star Team in 1950, member of the WHL First All-Star Team in 1953, member of the EHL First All-Star Team in 1957, 1958, and 1960, and member of the EHL Second All-Star Team in 1959. Adam died on December 24, 2001, at the age of 78.
