Firstly, the paper to the right is a paper found by Nelson Poe – listing the children of Edmond and Sarah Poe.
Next - I want to thank Alabama Poes for giving me custody of this site.
and - I would also like to thank Nelson Poe for helping me make the family link.
Mary Poe Beville was my great great grandmother.
It appears she died about 1852.
She married James Beville in 1823, moves to Franklin County, Tennessee. The couple has five sons and it appears one daughter who was born in 1825 but died young. I do not have her name.
The sons were Edward born 1824, Lewis 1825 - 1870, John H. Bevill, 1828 - 1906, William Bevill 1830 - 1860, Andrew Jackson Beville 1832 - 1886 and my great grandfather - Henry David Beville 1838 - 1911.
In 1839 - James Beville dies and the children are scattered among the near neighbors. I am not sure why this happens - perhaps Mary was ill herself but although it appears that she lives until 1852 - I could not find her again.
These are her siblings
