Louis H. Brincks died Monday, June 28, 2004 at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll at the age of 90. Louis was born on November 27, 1913, at Dedham, Iowa, the son of Henry and Mary(Pietig) Brincks. He attended St. Joseph Schools in Dedham. Louie and Marcella Schultes were married on February 4, 1942, at St. Joseph Church in Dedham. The couple farmed east of Willey until 1947 when they moved to their farm four miles southeast of Dedham. They retired in 1977 and moved to their home in Carroll. Louie's beloved Marcella died in November 1987. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. Louie dearly loved his family and enjoyed cross word puzzles, polka music, going to Swan Lake State Park, and visiting with his friends.
He is survived by his children, George (Geneva) Brincks, Alice Miskimins, Eileen Sander, Lavonne (Gary) Dungan, Joan (Paul) Bernholtz, James Brincks, Doris (Michael) Piriak, Don Brincks, and Jerry (Debra) Brincks;24 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren;and sister Elizabeth Venteicher. He was also preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Michelle Sander; sons-in-law, Denis Sander and Glen Miskimins; and sisters, Margaret Klocke and Henrietta Irlbeck.
