William was the son of William John and Agnes M. Sherlock Logan.
In 1932 he married Adelaide Eleanor Strickland and the couple was blessed with six children.
While residing in Buffalo, New York, William worked for 18 years as a lineman for the local Niagara Hudson electric utilities company.
In 1951 the family moved to Williamsburg, Virginia where he worked for various construction companies.
William was a regular blood donor and while working at the Naval Base in Cheatham Annex, Williamsburg, Virginia he was the recipient of the "galloneer" blood donor pin.
In 1960, the Logan's moved to Tampa, Florida with their two youngest children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his infant daughter Margaret Mary Logan (Dec 1933 – Jan 1934).
He was survived by Adelaide Logan, his wife of 40 years; one son William Logan of Tampa, Florida; four daughters, Mrs. Adelaide (Logan) Saunders and Mrs. Kathleen (Logan) Darby, also of Tampa, Florida; Mrs. Barbara (Logan) Thomas of Williamsburg, Virginia; and Mrs. Patricia (Logan) Held of Heilbronn, Germany; two brothers Bert and Moran Logan; and 17 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Tampa, Florida.
