St. Clair County
Bailey was an Emerald Spaulding peacock.
He had a personality of his own. He was shy compared to the other male peacocks that we had.
We got him as a chick from a very reputable breeder in the breeding community. We raised him to a little over a year & a half old.
When we were feeding the peacocks one day, Bailey got out. We've never seen him again.
We know he couldn't have survived on his own because of the large coyote population in our area.
Also, Emerald spauldings are not hearty as the more common India Blue when not in captivity.
If he had survived he would have made his way back home. The females calls would have attracted him back.
It made me very sad to to lose Bailey. He was half way to becoming a very beautifully colored bird. There was also a ton of planning & genetics to get the Emerald Spaulding cross.
