RUSSELL E. HILL PASSES FRIDAY, FUNERAL TUESDAY
Russell Edward Hill, 67, died Friday at his home, 70 Fifth Ave. W. N. He was born Dec. 22, 1904, at Mexico City, Mo., a son of Deck and Ona Hill. As an infant he moved with his family to Oregon and later to Ennis.
In 1926 he moved to Kalispell where he has since resided. He was a logger and had been employed by the Mills Lumber Co. prior to his retirement about eight years ago. He was of the Methodist faith. March 6, 1924, he married Ada Thompson in Kalispell and is now survived by her at the family home.
He is also survived by three sons, Rodney and Russell, both of Whitefish, and Desmond, Kimmer, Wyo.; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Bartel, Springfield, Ore., and Mrs. George (Betty Lou) Carson, Hilger; 34 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert, of Reedsport, Ore., Harry, Kalispell, and Omar, Port Orchard, Wash.; and two sisters, Viola Moon and Claudia Kimes, both of Kalispell. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, and one brother.
Funeral services for Mr. Hill will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Johnson Chapel with the Rev. John Lewis, pastor of Epworth United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
