Anna Hughes married Ralph Jackson(1886-1969)on December 31, 1921. They had 2 Sons; Ford Winfred (1922-2003)and Bradley Eugene (1936-2001). She was a wonderful "from scratch" cook and never measured anything when baking her famous Biscuits. They were light and fluffy and good to the last bite. She was just as famous for her Fried Apple Pies, Applesauce Stack Cake and Blackberry Cobbler. She also raised chickens which she used to feed her family and she sold eggs to regular customers in Lexington's East end neighborhood. Her flower gardens in her yard were beautiful and she could grow anything. She once took a Rose I received on Class Night and planted and nourished it into a Rose Bush in no time. She suffered from Arthritis and suffered a stroke on 9/10/1972 after hip replacement surgery. She died in the Nursing home 2 1/2 months later.

Mrs. Jackson, I was so excited to find your name/address on my grandmother's address list from the 1930s. That means you knew each other. It gives me a feeling of peace knowing you weren't unknown family leaving nearby as strangers~~~|
