Name: Richard Gray
Richard J. Gray, aged seventy-three years, died at his home Thursday after a lingering illness with a complication of kidney and heart disease.
He leaves a widow, five children, one sister, two brothers, and other relatives to mourn his departure.
The funeral services were conducted in the M.E. church Sunday morning by Rev. Virgil Thompson and the Odd Fellows of Chapman.

John R. Gray of St. Louis and Mrs. Emma Gray Johnson of Englewood, Colo., were called here by the illness and death of their father, Richard J. Gray.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gray of North Vernon and Mrs. Mary J. Spangler of Aurora attended the funeral of Richard J. Gray Sunday.
Rev. Otto L. Curl of Ohio attended the funeral of his stepfather, Richard J. Gray and remained for a few days' visit with his mother and other relatives.

Otto Leroy Curl was the son of John Washington Curl (b 1 Apr 1833 Green County, Ohio) and Olive Ann Mulford (b 22 Aug 1854 Dillsboro, Indiana). Otto's parents, John W and Olive Ann were married 10 Jan 1875 in Dillsboro, Indiana. But John died in 1880, and Olive Ann then married Richard J Gray in 1887 and is buried under that name
