Leander married (1) Nanie Evelyn ROBERTS in abt. 1913 in Travis Co.,TX. Nanie was born on 8 Oct 1897 in TX. She died on 17 Nov 1980 in Travis Co.,TX. She was buried in Oakwood Cem., Austin, Travis Co., TX.

Leander married (2) Nellie N WALACE on 25 Mar 1925 in Tampa, Hillsbourgh Co., FL. Nellie was born on 14 Sep 1904 in OK. She died on 14 Aug 1976 in Nicoma Park, Oklahoma Co., OK SSDI. She was buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater, Payne Co., OK.

"LEANDER F. WALKER, 76 Dies; Services Scheduled Friday
Funeral services for Leander F. Walker, 76, of 202 S. Husband, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Joseph Howell officiating. A wake service is slated for 8 p.m. Thursday in Strode Chapel.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Strode Funeral Home. A flag presentation will be amde by Hanner-Sharp American Legion Post No. 129. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 a.m. Friday.
Walker died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1969, at Stillwater General Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Genio Colasacco, Jack Edens, Bill Dowell, Hal Hackelman, Kenneth Luper and Laurence Sinclair. Honorary bearers are Arthur Anderson, Glen Beecham, Dr. Powell Fry, Bill Thomas, Arthur Edmundson and J.W. Ground.

Born at Washington, La., June 1, 1893, he was the son of Dr. John H. and Elizabeth M. Walker. He was married to Nellie N WALACE< at Tampa, Fla., on March 25, 1925. Walker attended schools in Louisiana and following their marriage, the couple lived one year in Florida before moving to Oklahoma City where he was superintendent of G.A. Nichols Construction Co., before moving to Stillwater July 7, 1947.

He was superintendent for Hackelman Construction Co., here until his retirement in 1963. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Hanner-Sharp American Legion Post, Veterans of WWI, serving in the Army as a sergeant.
Survivors include his wife of the home, one son, Leander F. Walker Jr. of Oklahoma City, a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Stark, Austin, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Anita Edens, Wichita, and Mrs. Bessie Brown, Houston; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren."
