Jason will be missed by many! He was an only child. It breaks my heart that his Mom & Dad will never be grandparents. God Bless this family and his wife Denise. They are always in my heart! WE LOVE YOU JASON!

Jason Shane Youngblood, age 27, of Martinez entered into rest on Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2007. Born in Augusta, Jason was a 1997 graduate of John S. Davidson Fine Arts School. He was an accomplished Saxophonist and had played in the Davidson Jazz Band. He had received his B.S. Degree in Political Science from Augusta State University in 2003. Jason had worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Richmond County Police Dept., a Corrections Officer at the Augusta State Medical Prison, with Commercial Military Systems as an Accounts Receivable representative and had most recently accepted a management position with Enterprise Leasing. An avid UGA fan, he was very active in bodybuilding, kickboxing and held a 2nd degree Black Belt in Karate. He is preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Frank H. and Dora A Youngblood and his maternal grandmother, Martha I. Dudley. He is survived by: his wife, Denise Coleman Youngblood, Martinez, GA; his parents, Richard "Ricky" and Shannon "Penny" Youngblood, Hephzibah, GA; his father and mother in law, Steven and Tina Coleman, Hephzibah, GA; his brother in law, Matthew Coleman, Hephzibah, GA; his maternal grandfather, Earnest P. Dudley; uncles, Frank H. Youngblood, II, William Dawson, Bobby Keith, Emory Warner, Charles Clack, James Dudley; aunts, Georgia Hicks, Elizabeth Dawson, Patricia Martin, Joann Balfour, Raye Causey, Jackie Warner, Pat Keith, Linda Clack; cousins, Frank H. Youngblood, III, Alicia Hagood, Brian Keith, James Tanner, Lisa Martin, Henry Martin, Jr., Olivia Youngblood, Sierra Youngblood, Alexis Hagood, Chandler Hagood, Ricky Clack, and Chuck Clack. The Christian Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 from St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John Lyons, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Robert Silas, Eric Yu, Christopher Burnett, Frank Youngblood, Jr. and Jimmy Hagood. The Christian Wake service will be held at 7:00 pm, on Tuesday evening at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA. Friends and guests are invited to attend the Wake service and the family will receive friends, following the Wake service, until the hour of 9:00 o'clock P.M.
