On Jan. 3, 1932, she married Pete Nein of Sedgwick. They lived and farmed Lena Nein in Sedgwick for two years then moved to a farm five miles west of Crook. She was also a regular champion exhibitor at the Logan County Fair Flower show. She also loved to decorate cakes. She baked and decorated many birthday and wedding cakes for friends and relatives.
Lena is survived by her brother, Walter Amen and wife Nona of Iliff; a foster daughter, Irene Kaufman and her husband Robert and their daughter Tammi of Wheatridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Lena in death were her husband, Pete; a brother, Harry; sisters, Edna and Irene; and grandson, Bobby Kaufman; and granddaughter, Cynthia Kaufman.
Memorial contributions can be made to the United Church of Crook.
