SLATER - Mrs. Edna Mosley Staton, 90, of Third Street, died Wednesday. Born in Wisconsin, daughter of the late Edwin and Sara Brown Mosley, she had lived in Slater since 1932, was a teacher, and a member of Slater Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn S. Helpa of Linwood, Pa., and Mrs. Semerimis S. Babb of Travelers Rest; two sons, Edwin T. Staton and James O. Staton of Greenville; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Slater Baptist Church with burial in Ebenezer Church cemetery. The body is at O'Dell Mortuary, where the family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday.
