RADICE DANIEL FRANCIS RADICE, Jr. Passed away at his home in Delaware on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Beloved husband of Sari Beth Radice; son of the late Dr. Daniel Francis Radice, Sr. and Peggy Radice; brother of Ronald Taylor Radice of Detroit, MI and Francis John Radice of New York, NY (The brothers and immediate family are all former long time residents of Chevy Chase, MD). Friends will be received at PUMPHREY''S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD on Monday, January 18, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 6001 Western Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20015 on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made in his name to the charity of your choice.
Dan attended Blessed Sacrament School in Chevy Chase (as did all the Radice boys), he was an all State football player at Georgetown Prep in Bethesda (where brother Ron went as well), and attended (on football scholarships), Maryland University, Marshal College, and Potomac State College of West Virginia University.
Danny was a great athlete who went from a star football player to a skilled golfer.
My bands played in many of his clubs, and that's where I learned my craft. It was because of Danny that I eventually got into television as a profession, so I owe him a lot that I will never be able to re-pay.
Danny was the best husband, brother, and friend anyone could ever have.
Sweet, kind, fun, and loyal to everyone he ever came in contact with.
He was also the best daddy "Brandy," his pet dachshund, ever had.
Growing up he was a role model; as an adult he was solid as a rock.
Dan was as happy as any man could be.
And when he and Sari moved from Maryland to Delaware. they were looking forward to a life of leisure together, riding bikes, playing golf, and getting ready for their first summers at the beach.
The saddest thing may be that he never got to have his cocktail on the sand.
We will think of our beloved Danny whenever we swing a club, or swim in the ocean, or pedal down the road.
He will be in our hearts forever. He will be dearly missed by everyone he touched.
We traveled together to Austrailia and China for the Olympics, and it was there that we bonded most recently as brothers.
I think I will miss him the most.
