Went to be with the lord January 19, 2005. She was preceded in death by husband Burl Snider to whom she was married for 56 years. Also preceeded in death by daughter Frankie, grandson Larry, sisters Geraldine and Bobbie, brothers Bill and Donald. Survived by sister Maxine Vaughan. Born February 29th, 1916 in New Mexico age 88. Loving mother of Gene, Dorothy, Shirley, Toni, John, Raymond, Katie, Steven and David. Loving mother in-law of Nancy, Rich and Don. Loved grandmother of 27, great- grandmother of 34, great-great grandmother of 4. Loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a regular attender of Arcade Baptist Church. Leota is remembered as being a person of unconditional love, opening her heart and home to anyone who needed a friend or a meal. She loved to be surrounded by small children for this brought a smile to her face. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Services will be held Mon., Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. at East Lawn Sierra Hills, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento CA 95841. Visitation is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sun., Jan. 23rd, also at East Lawn Sierra Hills. Remembrances may be made in her name to Arcade Baptist Church at 3927 Marconi Ave., Sacramento, CA 95821.
