Jackson Stonewall Howell, Jr., of Summerville, entered into eternal rest May 19, 2010, in Charleston.

Born November 24, 1939, in Johnsonville, SC, he was the son of Jackson Stonewall Howell, Sr. and Mattie Alberta Tanner Howell.

Mr. Howell earned a PhD in Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 1971. He was a retired Clinical Psychologist who worked for many years at the Ladson Coastal Center.

Survivors include one son, Jason Steven Howell and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Carolyn Robertson, both of Pittsburgh, PA; one granddaughter, Alyssa Kelsey Howell of Elkton, MD; one sister, Linda Howell Tanner of Summerville.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Katrina Anne Howell and a sister, Jean Howell Capps.

Interment was in Summerville Cemetery.
