Singer. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she began her career singing on radio at age 15 and had her own program "The Eileen Barton Show" in the 1940s. She is best known for the apostrophic hit tune, "If I Knew You Were Coming, I would've Baked A Cake" (1950). Her other hits included "Would You Believe Me?", "Honey, Won't You Honeymoon with Me?", "Cry", "Honey, Won't You Honeymoon with Me?" and "You Brought Me a New Kind of Love". She also appeared on the television programs "The Swift Show", "Video Village" and "Toast Of The Town". She died of cancer in West Hollywood, California. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
