Samuel J. Davis, age 79, of Waldron, Arkansas died Friday, November 21, 2008 at Waldron.
He was born July 17, 1929 in Big Fork, Arkansas to the late Harvey Davis and the late Matilda Heath Davis. He was united in marriage to Audrey P. Jarrell. Mr. Davis was a timber worker by profession. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, step-father and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Matilda Davis, a son, Lanny Dean Davis, a grandchild, Wade Martin, a brother Doyle Davis and two sisters, Aliene Davis and Madlyn Davis.
Graveside services will be Monday, November 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Big Fork. Interment will follow under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
