☆~♰ World War II - Killed in Action ♰~☆

Served in the U.S. Army, 117th Infantry, 30th Division, in the European Theater

Leonard enlisted on February 15, 1943, at Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania. He was killed in action in the Moelingen/'s-Gravenvoeren region in Belgium, only a few yards from the Dutch border. He earned the Purple Heart medal for his sacrifice, and his name is on a memorial to fallen soldiers in 's-Gravenvoeren.
