Musician. In 1976, he and Ric Ocasek co-founded the rock group The Cars in Boston. He was their bass player and sang lead vocals on their hit songs "Just What I Needed", "Let's Go", "Candy-O", and their biggest hit "Drive". Orr also had a post-Cars solo hit "Stay The Night". His last years were spent in Atlanta, where he formed the band Big People with musicians from other classic rock outfits, which included Ted Nugent sideman Derek St. Holmes, .38 Special guitarist Jeff Carlisi and Billy Joel's drummer, Liberty DeVito.
