Edna was the daughter of Augustus and Anna C. Frisch. Her father remarried some time before 1899 when her mother is listed on the 1900 Census report as remarried to Harry H. Fickes. Her siblings were WERNER AUGUST FRISCH; Lillian F. Frisch born in January 1886; William A. Frisch born in 1892; and Allan J. Frisch born in February 1894. She is found to have married John Howie in 1926 in Philadelphia and is listed on the 1930 Census as married and living with her father, but is buried with her father, mother and sister under her maiden name.
