Mr. Kuck was born and raised in Charleston, SC.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving three years in the Vietnam War, and retired from the Army with many service commendations after 23 years of service.
He moved to Starke in 1983, where he was employed as a security officer at Florida State Prison.
He retired after 21 years with the Department of Corrections and moved to Keystone Heights two years ago.
He was a Lutheran.

Kuck of Keystone Heights; daughters Wanda Diehl of California and Penny Davis of Keystone Heights; sons Mark Adkins of Citra, George Kuck, Jr. of Keysone Heights and James Earl Adkins of Sanford; a sister, Mary Peoples of Tennessee; a brother John Kuck of South Carolina; and four grandchildren.
