Billy Lee Cameron, 60, of Falmouth, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a week long illness.

Billy was born April 24, 1950 in Rushville, IN to Denzel "Pat" and Ruby (Wilhoite) Cameron, both whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Ray Parker.

He lived his entire life in Rush County and was a 1968 graduate of Rushville High School. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga CVA 60, as a jet engine mechanic. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he returned to Falmouth to farm with his stepfather and brother. He also worked at Fraley Implement during the 1970's. He was an active member of the Raleigh Fire Dept for over 30 years and up until his death. He had been an EMT for the majority of those 30 years and has held several positions within the department. He worked at Indiana Fire Apparatus in Mays, IN during the 1980's and retired from Detroit Steel in Morristown in 1996.

He leaves behind his sons, Brian J. Cameron & fiance' Annette Wolf of New Castle, Derrick A. Cameron of Lebanon, IN, Todd E. Cameron of Noblesville, IN, brother, Richard & Diana Cameron of Rushville, sister, Jane & husband Ron Ailes of Knightstown, IN, step-brother, Morris Lewark of Columbus, GA and step-mother, Neoma Parker of Columbus, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Pastor's George Huff & Herman Chaney will officiate. There will be full Fire service Honor's observed at the cemetery.
