MAGNA - Earl W. Bailey, 77, formerly of Bountiful, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 21, 1995 in Bountiful, Utah, of Congestive Heart Failure.
Born October 23, 1917, in Moroni, Utah to Russel and Ethel Bailey. Married Edna Guymon on May 8, 1935, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Earl's life was bowling; he served as president of the SLC Bowling Assoc. and is a member of the Hall of Fame. Former member of the Bountiful Jeep Posse, he loved to hunt and fish, but he will long be remembered as Santa Claus in his brightly decorated yard. Worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years, retiring as a Yard Master in 1978.
Survivors include his wife; three sons; Edgel (Veta), Rexburg, Idaho; Ray, Billings, Montana; Dale (Anne)), Sandy; two brothers, Gayle, Paul; two sisters, Pauline, Geniel; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by parents, a brother, Glen, and a sister, Louise.
