Harry MILLER was a son of William MILLER and Miriam TRESCOTT. Nancy Tyrrel Theodore makes the statement in a 1995 letter that his family moved to Franklin Co., OH 1816-1820; to Wayne Co., OH about 1829; to Portage Co., OH during the 1830's. About 1836-7 they removed from Ohio to that portion of Ray Co., MO that became Caldwell, where they were during the "Mormon Wars" and the Hawn's Mill Massacre; 1841 to Van Buren Co., IA and spring of 1843 to what was to be Monroe Co., IA. The "Marriage Records of Livingston County, Missouri, 1837-1863," compiled and published by Elizabeth Prather Ellsberry, 720 Vine Street, Chillicothe, Missouri (no date of publication, unpaginated): Harry Miller to Isabel Warner, 5 Dec. 1838, by No. 13 (identified in the introduction as William F. Ervell, J.P.)
