He was also featured in many articles in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. His national credits included special features in the Weekly Reader, National Geographic World Magazine, Psychology Today, and the Star tabloid. His TV credits include CBS's Kidsworld, USA Cable's In A Minute and NBC's Incredible Kids & Co. He published four books locally. His mother published a biography about Joe titled "The Maze Comes To Life" in 1995 as well as two other publications of his mazes after he died. Barnes Jewish Hospital funded a huge six paneled walk-thru biographical exhibit about him titled "The Joseph Barzantny Story: A Journey Through The Maze of Mental Illness", which is put on exhibit every year for special events.
