William Fredrick Knutti, 79, died Tuesday evening in Bear Lake Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

He was born February 28, 1900, in Montpelier, to John and Harriet Cordelia Dalrymple Knutti.

He married Ruby May Loveland August 17, 1920, in Paris. He was a member of the LDS Church and he worked most of his life as a carpenter in the Montpelier area.

Survivors include his widow, Montpelier; stepmother, Mrs. Rose Knutti, Salt Lake City; two sons, Robert William, Los Angeles, Calif,; and Paul Allen, Montpelier; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Donna) Stoddard, Georgetown; and Mrs. Jack (Gladys) McCraney, Logan; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank and Edward, both Salt Lake City; five sisters, Mrs. Mabel Davis, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. mae Brimhall, Evanston, Wyo.; Mrs. Irene Wallentine, Ogden; Mrs. Herman (Kathryn) Rohner, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Vincent (Alice) Morris, Pocatello.

Services in memory of William Knutti were held in Matthews Mortuary Chapel March 9, under the direction of Matthews Mortuary. Counselor LeVere King conducted. Flowers were under the direction of the Second Ward Relief Society.

Edward Knutti gave the family prayer. Music was played by Renee Bird. Ernest Vaterlaus gave the invocation, the obituary was by Frank Knutti, and David J. Gerber was the speaker. Vocal solos were presented by Ruth Kay Andersen and Mignon Jensen. Clifford Sommer gave the benediction.

Interment was in Montpelier Cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Wesley Williams. Pallbearers included Richard D. Gerber, Walt Rohner, Harlan Eborn, Charles E. Grimes, Richard King, and Cliff King. Art VanOrman and O'Dell Williamson were honorary pallbearers.
