Brooke Bateman, 24, of Rigby, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010.

She was born Aug. 5, 1985, in Idaho Falls to Evan Kenneth Bateman and Kristine Allan Bateman. She was raised and attended school in Rigby, graduating from Lincoln High School in Idaho Falls. She continued her education at Idaho State University in Pocatello. She moved to Salt Lake City and lived there for the past four years.

She loved photography, rock climbing, playing guitar and softball and was a very good cook. She especially loved her family, friends and Alfie, her dog. She was always ready to help another in need and was very compassionate. Her smile would light a room and will be missed.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kristine Bateman Bartel and Daniel Bartel of Grant; sisters, Nichole Bateman Chesley of Logan, Utah, and Anbrea Bateman Morales of Rigby; twin brother, Brian Nyman Bateman of Roseville, Calif.; brothers, Brett Even Bateman of Chesapeake, Va., and Danen Allan Bateman of Saratoga Springs, Utah; and grandparents, Afton Bateman of Salt Lake City and Walter and Sherryl Allan of Draper, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her father, Evan Kenneth Bateman; twin sisters, Aubrey and Ashley Bateman; and grandfather, Kenneth George Bateman.
