"Bee Kunz Christiansen, 85, passed away July 20, 2003 in Cedar City, UT. She was born on September 13, 1917 in Bern, ID to Hyrum Smith and Leah Anna Jacobson Kunz. She married Fenton J Christiansen on August 6, 1938 in Loa, UT; their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple on November 10, 1962. She was preceded in death by her husband. Bee graduated from Dixie College and Stevens-Henager College. She was employed by the Iron County School District for several years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as a Primary teacher and did extraction for many years. Her favorite activities were family gatherings. The light of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and kitties. Many people were recipients of her talents, doll clothes, quilts, baby blankets, and crocheted items. Bee's family would like to thank the staff at Kolob Regional Care Center for the kindness they have shown to Bee and her family. Bee is survived by her children Judith Stock of Cedar City, UT; F. James (Linda) Christiansen of New Castle, UT; Fran (Glenn) Wilson of Escalante, UT; and Howard (Anngie) Christiansen of Cedar City, UT; sisters LaRue Morris, and Evelyn (York) Jones; 15 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and his wife Merrill "Bud" and Alma Kunz, brother-in-law R.C. "Dick" Morris, and great grandson Brady Andrew Morgan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar City 4th Ward Chapel (400 N 500 W). Friends and family may visit Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. both viewings at Southern Utah Mortuary. Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery.
