Francisca "Frances" Huber was born September 8, 1832 to Georg Adam Huber and Elisabeth Braun at Gro▀steinlohe, Kreis Cham, Oberpfalz, Bavaria, Germany. She was baptized on the same day at St. Vitus Catholic Church in Tiefenbach; her sponsor was Francisca Boehm. The baptism record said her paternal grandfather was Adam Braun of Anger, Bohemia (now known as Upor, Czech Republic); however the town of Anger/Upor is now extinct. Anger belonged to the parish of Grafenried.
Frances and Johann Baptist "John" Ringelstetter were married on May 12, 1860 at St. Vitus in Tiefenbach. Their farm at house number 13 in Altenschneeberg (located east of Tiefenbach) is today known as house number 45 and it near the top of the hill.
Eight children were born to Frances and John Ringelstetter during the time they lived in Germany, the last six in Altenschneeberg: Johann Baptist, Andrew, unnamed son, Barbara, Johann, Johann, Frances and Johann Evang. Five of those children died in infancy.
Johann and Frances and their 3 children (Andrew, Barbara, Frances) emigrated from Germany to America, arriving at the Port of Baltimore in Maryland on July 2, 1870. The family lived on a farm in Big Hollow in Bear Creek Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin, where three more children were born: Katherine, Michael and Joseph.
Frances Huber Ringelstetter died at age 63 on May 2, 1896 (or 1895). It is assumed she died in Sauk County, Wisconsin. Obituaries or death records have not been found.
