Funeral Services for Miss Tillie L. Anderson, 85, of the Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo, were held at 2pm Saturday in the Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo, with the Rev. Karl Nelson, pastor of the Messiah Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Miss Anderson died Wednesday, June 16 in the Nursing Home.
She was born March 19, 1886 in Aledo, daughter of Charles and Josephine Jacobson Anderson. She was employed for several years by the Ray Merritt Dry Goods Store in Aledo and later owned and operated a gift shop in Aledo.
Miss Anderson was a member of the UNited Methodist Church of Aledo and was a charter member of the American Legion Auxillary and Hedvig-Lindorf Hospital Circle of the Messiah Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Edith Anderson of Aledo and Mrs Boyd Nesbitt of Aledo, one brother Arthur of Muskegon Hts., MI; a sister-in-law, Mrs Marvin Franks, Aledo; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
