Birth: Dec. 3, 1917
Oklahoma, USA
Death: Mar. 24, 2007
McCurtain County
Oklahoma, USA

Aunt Opal, my husband Perry Martin's aunt, was the daughter of Millard and Frances (Shields) Whisenhunt, wife of Robert "Shorty" Davis, sister to Hazel Whisenhunt Martin, and mother to Donny Davis and Charlotte Davis Parsons, left this world around 11:00 am after a long illness.

Her family and friends celebrated her life Monday March 25 amid tears and laughter. Laughter because Aunt Opal lived her life with joy. All the nieces and nephews loved to stay over at Aunt Opal's. Fishing, hunting, and helping her in her garden was a blast that ended by making a pallet on the floor.

She was a blessing to those who knew her and a joy to be around.

I've always know you and you were always so very kind to me as I was growing up. Will never forget you.

Aunt Opal,I remember icy pops, churning butter, fishing, chickens, and being chased by a sow. You meant so much to me.Love, Vickie
