Domenico D'Aiutolo was born on 26 Aug 1860 at Montecorvino Pugliano, Salerno, Campania, Italy, 404045N0145639E, son of Giovanni and Angela De Luca D'Aiutolo. He was christened on 28 Aug 1860 at Saint Bernardino, Montecorvino Pugliano, Salerno, Campania, Italy. He married Teresa Campione, daughter of Michelangelo Campione and Caterina "Catherine" Bruno, on 21 Apr 1884 at Saint Bernardino, Montecorvino Pugliano, Salerno, Campania, Italy. He emigrated on 29 Apr 1909 arrived New York, New York Co., NY; with his family departed on the 5 April 1909 on the ship "Europa La Veloce", according to Vito's Declaration of Intention papers. The Ship Manifest for the Europa states they arrived in New York on the 29 April 1909.
The D'Aiutolo family came to the US to visit their son John, who had emigrated to America married in NJ and had a four year old daughter. Teresa was sick and may have known she had cancer before coming to America and wanted to see her son and grandchild before she died. Italia was married less than two years after they arrived in the US. Teresa died in 1912, a year after Italia married. Domenico wanted to return home but waited until after his daughter Josie was married in 1913. It was decided that Vito then 12 years old would stay in America and live with his older sister, Italia and her family. Angelina and Maria lived with their sister, Josie. Maria married in 1917. Domenico appeared on the census of 1910 at Sturling Village, Passaic Township, Morris Co., NJ; is listed as Dominick Daiutolo (Sic) 51, Italy, married 25 years, immigration 1909; wife, Threasa 48; son, John 25, married 2 Years, immigration 1906; daughter, Angelina 22; daughter, Edith 19; daughter, Josephine 15; daughter, Mary 12; son, Vito 9; Susan 21, NJ, daughter-in-law; Threasa 1, NJ, granddaughter and Mathew Montello 24, Italy, immigration 1905, boarder. He lived circa 1913 at Monecorvino Pugliano, Campanio, Salerno, Italy; returned to Italy after his wife, Teresa died. He married Rosa Della Corte circa 1914 at probably, Montecorvino, Salerno, Campania, Italy. He died on 6 Sep 1951 at Montecorvino Pugliano, Salerno, Campania, Italy, 404045N0145639E, at age 91.
