Roxie Belle Rich Sartin
Birth: Oct. 22, 1917

Georgia, USA
Death: Nov. 28, 2008

Aunt Roxie Belle, the sister of my Mama was the daughter of Reverend Benjamin H. Rich and Gertrude Keith Rich. Attended the Habersham College in Clarksville, GA. A faithful working member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, like her sister she was a sweet, loving, Godly lady, who dearly loved her children and grand children. I can never remember ever hearing her say an unkind word about anyone, ever. She was always smiling-and sometimes giggling, and like my Mama always had a song in her heart which would most often manifest vocally as she worked around the home! Usually hymns like Mama but never heard her yodel like my Mama used to do! Let's get to the family. Two daughters, Beverly Doolittle (Rev. Tommy) of Winnsboro, and Debra Lesley (Charles "Butch")of Greenwood. Four sons, John Sartin, Jr.(Jessica)of Homosassa, FL., Wayne Sartin (Gail), Loy Sartin and Harvey Sartin, all of Greenwood; Nine Grandchildren: five great grandchildren, and a brother, George Rich of Union City, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Amelia Elizabeth(Rich)Spurr and brothers, Herbert, Ben, Robert, and Charles Rich.
