Verne G. Corey
Funeral services for Verne G. Corey, 71, formerly of Washington DC, a native of Fullerville, were held Sept 13 at Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral home, Washington. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery. Mr. Corey, a retired senior attorney with the Bureau of Customs died Sept 6 at his home in Lake Worth, Fla. Surviving are his widow, Lydia Phillips, and one sister, Mrs. Grant Freeman, Gouverneur.
He was born in Fullerville and was graduated from Eastman College, Poughkeepsie. He received his law degree from Georgetown University Law School in 1925.
