Richard was the first child of Lewis Varnel and Gloria Dawn Babb Evans. He grew up in Blackfoot, ID, attending Jr. and High school there. Rick became a wrestler, and earned several championships and awards. He was also active in
baseball and other sports. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1978, and was stationed at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. Returning from there in 1981 , he married Susan Kelley Howell. To this union one son, Chase R Evans, was born. They divorced and he married next Karin Scovill, in 1987, and they had one son,Ty C Evans. After another divorce, he had a brief marriage to Joyce Ziegler, after which he moved to Idaho Falls, ID, where he pursued his independent contracting business of Highwall Drywall Construction Co. until illness prevented him from working.
