Civil War: Mustered into 75th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company G 18 JAN 1862 at Camp McLean Ohio after he had already enlisted November of 1861.

Discharged Dec 2, 1862, at Bellevue Hospital, New York, on Surgeon's certificate of disability.

Reupped 30 JAN 1864, age 22, K 54th Ohio Infantry; mustered out 15 AUG 1865 at Little Rock.
