Master sausage maker. Born the son of the butcher Thomas Beisser and Margarete Rothacker in Calw, Kingdom of Wuerttemberg (Germany), he married Christiana Tabitha Gruner on February 26, 1835. They had nine children, among them were Georg Jacob Simon Beisser (great grandfather of Fred Beisser) and (Reverend) Gottlob (AKA Gottlieb) Christian Beisser.
