John Hill, 66, of 4225 Spruce St., New Boston, died Friday in Mercy Hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Wellston, he was a retired employe of Detroit Steel Corp., a member of United Steelworkers Union and Christian Baptist Church.
Hill was preceded in death, by his first wife, Mrs. Mary Etta Hill in 1958.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Clara Butler Hill; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Curnutte of Eden Park, Portsmouth, Rt. 6: a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ellen Riffe of Tucson, Ariz.; a stepson, Charles Butler of Miami, Fla.; three brothers, Charles and Biscoe Hill, both of Wellston, and Marion of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Mary Oakley of Columbus; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services, are to be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union, with Rev. Donald Humble officiating.
Internment is to be in Memorial Burial Park.
Friends may call at Pennington Funeral Home after 7 tonight, and until 11 a.m. Monday, when the body is to be
moved to the church.
John Hill and Clara Belle Raike had no children together.
