Birth: Dec. 15, 1900
Kentucky, USA
Death: Jun. 13, 1960, USA

Claude married Lora Reed and had three children: Edna (5/18/1924-?); Ronald G. (4/4/1926-?) see bio in Find A Grave for Smith Branch Cemetery, Greenup County, KY; and Patty (11/26/1936 - 3/10/1999) who married Oral Gulley.

Claude is the son of Albert Thorten Rake (11/22/1876 - 4/18/1950) married Rosa Belford (1/29/1880 - 7/5/1967). Albert & Rosa had fourteen (14) children. Claud the oldest; Frank (6/2/1902-?) married Ethel Bennington; Sam (5/3/1904 - 4/14/1974) married Elizabeth Hamilton (8/25/1905 - 7/18/1952); Tom (2/20/1906-8/27/1934); Nellie (12/23/1907-?); Gladice (7/31/1909-?) married Ray Stanley; Sarah (6/2/1911-?) married Howard Davis; Lucy (3/28/1913-?) married Denver Hale; Benjamin (5/12/1914 - 7/5/1914); Clyde (8/29/1915-?) married Freda Layberger; Fred (5/19/1918-?) married Thelma Williams; Helen (8/18/1919-?) married Earl Wright; Flocie (9/12/1922-?) married Ernest Percell; & Wilber (8/24/1925 - 2/4/1985). Albert Thorten changed the spelling of his children's last name from Rake to Raike.

Albert Thorten is the son of Fredrick Rake (1842-1911) married Mary Jane Phillips having ten (10) children: Wilhelmina Ann married Jay Chapman; Francis; Alice married George Nelson; William Peyton (1860-1909) married Mary Jane Fetters; John (1861-1936); Benjamin Dine (1874-?) married Lydia Long; Albert (see above); Isabell (1888-?) married possibly twice to a Robertson & a Brown; Goldie (1891-?) married a Wilson; Mary Jane (1894-?) married Albert Nichols. My great-grandfather John (1834-1902) and Fredrick were brothers.

Frederick (1842-1911) is the son of Jacob (1808-?) and Lovice Barnhart (1810-?). My great-grandfather John (1834-1902) and Fredrick were brothers, both born to Jacob & Lovice, and this is how I got into the picture.

Jacob (1808-?) is the son of Abraham Rake (1780 - 2/9/1869) and Suzanne Simion (1783 - 12/6/1862).

Abraham is the son of Johann Phillip Racke (1736-?) who changed the last name spelling from Racke to Rake.

Johann Phillip is the son of Johann Jacob Racke (1695-?) who married Anna Margaretha Morgensterns (1699-?).

ALL THIS INFORMATION WAS RESEARCHED BY MY NEPHEW SAMUEL EUGENE RAIKE AND PROVIDED FOR ALL TO SEE AND HOPEFULLY HELP YOU IN YOUR GENEALOGY QUEST.
