| Birth: | Dec. 26, 1826 | | Death: | Mar. 24, 1893 Bucks County Pennsylvania, USA |  Civil War Union Army Officer. He was commissioned as Captain and commander of Company D, 1st New Jersey Volunteer Cavalry on July 25, 1861. He served a full four years with the regiment in the field, and was appointed as Major of the unit July 6, 1864. However, he was not mustered in at that rank, and was honorably discharged on September 20, 1864 when his enlistment expired.
